A field mouse runs through tall grass as dragonflies fly up. The text below reads 'Fieldmoot'.

Backstory

Once upon a time, a generous-hearted group of creatives in Nashville, fondly known as rabbits, began gathering for an annual Moot. This gathering was full of food and music, story and inspiration, the forging of new friendships and the sweet reconnection of old ones. (Or so we've heard. It was too far for the field mice to attend.)

But in 2020 the Big Bad Wolf (known as COVID to the human folk) came hunting and it wasn't safe for the rabbits to gather together in their beloved hutch! They couldn't even leave their burrows! What were the rabbits to do?

Never fear! These creative rabbits were undeterred and created an online virtual event that allowed all the rabbits to participate from the safety of their own burrows. Not only that, it allowed anyone from all over the world to join. Mice, badgers, squirrels, hedgehogs, and far-flung rabbits who had never been able to come to the rabbits' Nashvillean hutch tuned in from their respective fields and burrows and trees and forests. Hearts were encouraged, spirits lifted, creativity inspired!

Now, here in 2022, with the Big Bad Wolf slunk into relative retirement and small creatures venturing forth once more, the rabbits in Nashville are returning to their live, in-person moot, and while we are overjoyed for their sakes, those of us unable to attend are keenly feeling the loss of a virtual event.

But we are creative creatures, and once more, we have a solution to a problem.

We are delighted to announce that an intrepid band of friendly field mice have volunteered to host a moot in their own virtual field for all the small, far-flung animals with no hutch of their own.

We invite everyone from everywhere to join us from every burrow, tree, or hole in the ground for a weekend full of discussion, music, creativity, and more as we seek to celebrate and cultivate creativity within Christendom.
